Mitochi will be heading to Albany on April 25th to perform at The Fuze Box. The night will include other performances by Party Horn, Kloud 9, Rally and Goldeedust. The Fuze Box is located at 12 Central Avenue, and the doors open at 9PM. There will be no cover and there will be drink specials too. Go get your dance on Albany.

February is almost here and you know what that means. It’s J Dilla month. This year, DJ Trumastr brings his 5th Annual Beat*Shot Spins for J Dilla back to Red Square in Albany. The event, which celebrates the life and body of work of one of the most prolific and well-known Hip Hop producers of all time, brings local and regional musicians together for a night of great music and art that pay tribute to the late producer.

This year, the event features a special guest, J Dilla’s mother, Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey and she will be in attendance at the show. Performances this year will include J-Live, Oddisee, JB aka Dirty Moses, PJ Katz and the Dilla Gents and Midas & Rawhead. The show is 21+ and kicks off at 8pm. Cost for the event is $10 and the profits go toward the J Dilla Foundation which supports Lupus research and inner city music programs for children. Albany come out for a great night of ALL things Jay Dee!

Kite Person is playing the 518 yet again this week for a free show at The Putnam Den on Thursday, January 17. The show in downtown Saratoga Springs will kick off at 9PM and will also feature performances by the Tiki Bats and Curling Hands.
