Simon Grimes, also known as Sime Gezus, Pete Pluto, Tha Grime Ministah, Bad Mood Barry and Space Ninja, has always had a love for Wu-Tang, Jeru the Damaja, Nas, The hard pounding snare hits and choppy melodic samples was all it took. Growing up in a small town with only one redlight, no minorities, and more animals than people, he felt secluded from the hip-hop world. This was even more motivation to get further in tune with the movement, and create sounds on his own. Before Pluto ever had turntables or any music equipment, he began using a karaoke machine mixed with a tape recorder, and would blend songs together from cassette tape to cassette tape. In 2000, he moved out to Boston where he attended the Art Institute of Boston to study studio engineering. After living in Albany, and North Carolina Pluto returned to the 518 area where he is a part of Sub-Bombin Records. He is a member of the group Eraserheadz (Midas, Scissor-Hands, Rawhead, Chorus Babblebones), the group Backward Blessing (Pluto + Scissor-Hands), and a soloist. Pluto beats are spaced out grimey artifacts of the unknown worlds. Pluto rhymes are futuristic caveman funk. Gezus is a high energy mass with lyrical displays of todays Economy, Racism, Sports, Turmoil, Love, Grime, Humor, Religion, Astronomy, and the Alpha and Omega. Sime shows love to all emcees and producers and is always up for a collab.
