In the early spring of 2000, in an old Glens Falls basement, the story of Blue Water Tribe began. Taking heavy influence from dub and roots music of all kinds, dropping heavy bass and kicking live drums was fundamental to the core sound of the Tribe. Styles could evolve freely during the course of a live improvisational performance, collaberating with fellow artist, musicians, emcees, and djs.

Members include: Jim Shearer, Michael Okon III, Chorus, Greg Peters, Tim Oakley, Blackout, Hasan Wilson, Ian Nichols, Nick Lafond, Ben Mahoney, and many others who have contributed at one time or another.

Currently the tribe is on hiatus, but all members continue to remain active in creating new and original music.
